While on our visit to Mt Cook (Aorki). We had planned to do two tracks. The Hooker Valley Track and the Kea Point Track. Unfortunately, the Hooker Valley Track was closed due to damage to the bridge caused by flooding. Despite our disappointment we were still able to do the Kea Point Track, which was close by.
The Kea Point Track is an easy short 1 hour return track that take you to a viewpoint with amazing views of Mt Sefton, Hooker Valley, Mueller Glacier Lake and Mt Cook. Couldn’t have picked a better day with clear blue skies and the fresh cold air its hard not to appreciate the beauty of this place.
A great experience nonetheless despite us freezing our asses off. I’ll be back for the Hooker Valley Track next time.
